mark making
First of all in cl
ass we got given a picture by Van Gough and then carefully examined the one on the white board and started on the corn Field. to make the effect of the corn waving in the wind, we got a yellow oil pastel and started doing little flicks, making sure that we didn't leave any white or it would ruin the effect of the mark making. Then we proceeded to add another colour on top of the yellow to make it even more affective, i added on top of the yellow, orange, a golden colour and also black to make it look like the corn had shadows. Then we went onto the bushes using the same technique but with sutible colours for a bush, after all we don't want a pink bush insted of a green one.

Tone
too make tone we...
Started off we all got a pencil crayon and pressed on really hard to get a nice block, dark colour and then as we traveled along the rectangle we gradually got lighter and lighter to get an affect that is on the sheet, then we did the same but with a water colour, poster paint, felt tip, pastels and oil pastels, i think the hardest thing to create tone with is a felt tip as i had a go with one when i got home from school one night.
